ASB presents A Night on the Bayou themed fall formal for high school students that will be held on November 20th, 2025. The formal was postponed after the weather complications on November 15th. The event will now take place from 5:30 to 8:30 PM and check-in starts at 5:45. Ticket sales have been slow both before and after the postponement.
ASB advertised the dance in Advisory classes, but was unfortunately unsuccessful. The previous ticket prices made students not interested in attending the formal. Hearing that tickets were expensive, while still having to buy food separately felt unreasonable to students.
“The price of one ticket alone should cover a ticket and food like previous years, but this year it’s different,” said Susanna Benyam (‘27).
With the desire for people to begin purchasing tickets, ASB decreased the prices from $30 to $20 for students and the bundles for students decreased from $50 to 35$. These ticket prices have changed drastically in hopes of increasing sales.
“These updated prices will get students to start purchasing tickets with the cheaper prices and bundles,” stated Eldana Woldai (‘27).
ASB reminded students that the money received from ticket sales for their grade overall goes to their senior year trip. After hearing this, juniors began to purchase tickets to raise money for their upcoming trip next year. ASB is also encouraging students to purchase tickets by giving donuts and pizza along with purchases as well as promoting it on social media.
ASB hopes that with the additional week to sell tickets after it was postponed will hopefully get more people to purchase tickets.
