After a three year hiatus, Harry Styles returns with his highly anticipated fourth album, Kiss All The Time, Disco, Occasionally. Huge fans like myself have been impatiently waiting for new music and his comeback, surprisingly starting the new year with a new era.
Speculation for new music started in December of 2025, when Styles’ official YouTube channel posted a video from his last performance in Italy. The video ended with the phrase “We Belong Together” and fans wondered what it would be for. Many fans believed it was the start of a new era and were thrilled to see that he is finally back. Posters of the “We Belong Together” phrase started to pop up globally in cities such as New York and Amsterdam.
On January 15th, Styles confirmed the rumours with an Instagram post announcing the album and its title. The album was officially released on March 6th 2026 and is now at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200. His lead single “Aperture” dropped in late January and is on the Top 10 of Billboard Top 100, along with his other single “American Girls.”
Styles is actively experimenting with different styles of music as all his albums are uniquely different. He continued to show that through this new album where he is open to creating different sounds. Genres mixed with disco, pop rock, and synth pop create moods of nostalgia and emotion that are upbeat and energetic. Compared to Harry’s House, which is more intimate with its production, this new album seems more experimental and expansive.
Lyrically, Styles seems to be exploring themes of love and connections with different types of people and his relationships in multiple tracks. The slogan “We Belong Together” connects back to this and helps reflect whether this is the whole message of the album.
Several songs stood out to me on the album. The production on “Pop” really caught my attention with the guitar in the background and the layered instrumentals. “Are You Listening Yet?” highlights him speaking throughout the song, and the build up became something I am obsessed with. As much as we love a disco and upbeat album, Harry will always include a few gut wrenching sad songs and I felt that through “Coming Up Roses.” Styles wrote the entire song independently and it makes the song even more emotional, especially with the orchestra instrumentals at the end of the track that feel so magical.
Fans have reacted positively with admiration of his experimentation on this album, and how Styles’ truly had fun making it. In interviews, he emphasized that he wanted to create a project that he truly loved, and not because it is something he has been doing all his life, as he has expressed in various interviews.
Overall, Kiss All The Time, Disco, Occasionally is a fun and vibrant album that made his anticipated return so worth it. While the album holds a large percentage of experimentation, it still ultimately displays his artistry in music and further solidifies how talented he is.
