A movie for its top tier action and romance called Chainsaw Man – Reze Arc was released in theatres throughout the US on October 24, 2025. The movie was directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and is a spin-off to the first season.
The plot centers around our main characters who are animated throughout this movie. Denji who is voiced by Kikunosuke Toya is a Devil Hunter; Reze, voiced by Reina Uena, is a part time worker in a diner. Throughout the movie these two characters spend time with one another and build a closer bond over time but also protect Japan with their powers.
One aspect that made this movie so incredible was the animation and visual effects. Chainsaw Man’s animation studio, MAPPA, is known for their expert works like Ryu Nakayama and Kazutaka Sugiyama. Throughout, the movie expressed so many emotions and creativity. For instance, the fight scenes within this movie had impact frames that visualized every single piece of rubble being destroyed. That hooked me into keeping my eyes open the whole time. Also, the animation is a great aspect throughout the movie because it gives viewers something appealing to view and converse about. Having actions like combat throughout the movie gives such fluidity in its scenes making it much more enticing.
Another aspect of this movie that is significant was the stage direction and editing. Throughout the movie, Chainsaw Man is known for its funny stage directions having a comedic effect to viewers and also moments to be serious giving its superior lighting and movements a must watch. Its editing felt so smooth for an animated movie that required no CGI. It’s so significant that the aspects like editing throughout the movie is needed because it makes the emotional atmosphere even greater having actions like funny or serious gestures within the movie.
Overall this film is perfectly made for animation and adventure. I would highly recommend this movie to all because it illustrates love and the adrenaline of action throughout watching the movie that makes it so pure and I felt like I couldn’t get enough of it. Overall this is a great movie to watch and I would recommend this to ages of 17 or under with a parent or guardian watching over them.
