Klay Thompson Out for Rest of NBA Season

Klay Thompson Is Out For The 2020-2021 NBA Season

Klay Thompson, a Golden State Warrior All Star, suffered a lower leg injury during a workout session in Southern California, the Golden State Warriors reported. Thompson underwent an MRI the day after the injury and doctors said he would not recover for the current season.

Klay Thompson wanted to make a return to the NBA after his injury in 2019 since he tore his ACL, but unfortunately he is looking at another recovery and will be sitting out this entire 2020-2021 season.

According to Chris Haynes, a Yahoo sports Senior NBA insider, Thompson suffered an Achilles injury, an injury that would need the 30 year old to go into surgery.

“Prayers up for my brother,” said teammate Draymond Green during an interview.

Klay Thompson is one of the best shooters in this generation, averaging 21.5 points and is a 41.9 percent shooter from 3 point range during the 2018-2019 season. But during the coming back of his other injury, he was hoping to return this season but due to another injury he will be sitting out once again.

“Klay has a strength of will, but right now it’s a tough day for him” said Bob Myers the Warriors’ general manager.

Marc J. Spears a senior NBA writer, said that Klays Thompson’s injury was not good. “You feel for a guy who has worked so hard to get back on the court, two-three weeks out of training camp and something like that happens.” But thankfully Thompson is expecting to make a full recovery.
