SNHS Begins Annual Llama Pin Sale
The Spanish National Honors Society (SNHS) is beginning its annual llama pin sale on December 6, 2021, in the Walton Center during highschool lunch. The sale will last until December 17, 2021, right before winter break. It is also possible that the pins will be sold on some days during middle school lunch, but details have not been finalized.
This year, in addition to the iconic llama pins, additional llama and South American merchandise will be included. Not only this, but there will also be fun activities regularly posted on the bulletin so that both middle and highschool students can earn free prizes.
As many students already know, the llama pin sale isn’t just about getting cute pins to decorate your backpack. It is a fundraiser where all funds go towards buying a llama for a family in South America. To these families, llamas are essential because their wool can be sold or made into products and sold. They can enable families to prosper and give them new opportunities, such as allowing their children to get an education.
The price of llamas fluctuates and it can be anywhere from 100 to 200 dollars. Therefore, if every Preuss student bought one llama, it would be more than enough to help multiple families.
