Middle school students are excited to have fun and enjoyment with friends on field day, which will occur on March 28, 2025, during seventh and eighth block.
Field Day is an annual event where middle school students can participate in activities and have fun with their peers. Middle School ASB and Ms.Wiedemeier, the advisor for Middle School ASB, organized this event. However, students with behavioral issues, library fines, and students with poor grades will not be able to participate in field Day.
The Middle School ASB students made sure sports, activities, and snack stands like shaved ice, chips, and drinks would be there for all middle schoolers to enjoy their day. Some Middle School ASB students have different feelings about all the preparations they had to do for this upcoming day.
Middle School ASB Member Raaida Mead (‘29) states, “The planning was hard trying to organize everything and make everything go smoothly and not have any mess ups.”
For many middle school students this day is more than just a free day, but something more mentally relieving to middle schoolers.
Hiyabel Shibeshi (‘29) comments, “I’m excited since it’s basically just a day of fun and enjoyment and I get to be productive with my friends.” Shibeshi adds, “I feel we all really needed this day and just a break from school and work.”
During middle school field day relay races between each advisory for every grade will take place. Four people from every advisory class will be chosen to pass the baton to their peers in order to win the race.
“I hope my advisory class wins the 8th grade relay race. It would be nice to have the victory but if we don’t win it’s okay since it’s all fun and games,” states Shibeshi (‘29).
With many activities going on throughout this day and friendly competition, students are looking forward to this event with many hopes.
“I feel like it will be a success because there are a lot of activities and the advisory competitions would be fun for students and for myself,” states Mead (‘29).
Students who do not want to participate in physical activities can participate in the non-physical activities like ping pong, tic tac toe, and can enjoy other aspects of this field day.
“I’m going to try to explore all the activities and see the outcome of everything we have worked on,” states Mead (‘29).
Middle schoolers have good feelings about this upcoming day.
“Overall I’m just happy to be attending and having fun and playing games with my friends. I also want to embrace this field day since it is my last one,” states Shibeshi (‘29).
