This year’s Fall formal theme is “Moonlit Soiree.” Fall formal, an annual tradition, will take place on Friday, November 8th from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Students must dress appropriately, meaning no hats or short revealing clothing. Students are asked to coordinate with the color theme: purple, silver, black, and gold accents. The dance will take place by the outdoor volleyball court and field.
High school students who are attending are able to bring guests, but they need to be under twenty years old. They must fill out a permission slip from their school director and our principal/vice principal. However, students are expected to check in at 6:00 P.M – 7:00 P.M sharp and no later.
School is an environment to work, learn, and study but it can also be a place to make friends. The Fall formal is one way for students to socialize and enjoy themselves at Preuss.
“Fall formal is one of the events that are worthwhile because it’s a break from school work and a time to have fun,” states ASB social director, Darian Juarez (‘25).
Middle school students are not allowed to go to the Fall formal. According to ASB it is a risk to safety precautions and because they already have the liberty to have their own separate dances and socials. This year the new freshmans have the privilege of experiencing the Fall formal for the first time.
“This year it’s going to be my first formal high school Fall formal and I don’t want to miss an opportunity to hang out with my friends,” said Evoleth Almeida (‘28).
According to Juarez, there will be numerous activities there to entertain students who choose to attend. The dance will have an amazing and professional DJ, elaborate decorations, and premium desserts for sale, and a limitless photo booth stand to catch memories with others.
“I think it’s a great idea to have a dance. It’s a way to disconnect from tedious work,” said Juarez (‘25).
The “Moonlit Soiree” is an opportunity the school is giving us to enjoy our school year. Tickets for the first week will be 25 dollars through the 21th to 25th and the second week will be 30 dollars from October 28th to November 1, the last day to buy tickets.
