The Manchester field is restricted to students from October 7th to the start of the winter sports season due to the field being reseeded for said upcoming winter season of sports.

A large mound of sand was dumped near the field between the D and E buildings on October 10th.

“UCSD facilities come onto the field and put sand as a way to fill patches and exposed roots to help the field grow,” Ms. Kandy said.

When sand is put in a grass field, it creates a firm surface that helps level grass as it grows. With the sand it will help prepare the field for when the winter sports season starts.
