All of us are Dead is a new korean zombie movie released on January 28, 2022. The show is originally a Webtoon(Webcomic) and was given a live-adaptation by Netflix.

Netflix usually gets mixed reactions from live-action adaptations such as Avatar: The Last Airbender, Cowboy Bebop, Bleach, Sweet Home, etc. However with All of us are Dead stats are showing it hits currently #1-2 on every Netflix list in the world.

The story is set in Hyosan High-School, South Korea and follows a main group of characters that tries to survive through the zombie apocalypse. Although it follows this group, many individuals that are still alive hiding in the highschool are also trying to survive through any means necessary.

This high-school zombie series consists of 12 episodes, each averaging around an hour long with great character build-ups and development. The first episode started slow but was definitely necessary so the viewer is able to see all the connections everyone had with each other which makes some certain deaths feel much more worse than others.

Just like any other zombie series/movies there are going to be many characters you’ll hate. In this show there will be a lot that you hate. Let’s just say that zombies won’t be the only enemies that the main group has to worry about.

Some viewers may be drawn away by horror series, but All of us are Dead makes the perfect balance between horror, action, and comedy that makes it not that scary.

“The cast of characters and plot itself was very good. I also liked the comedic relief of some of the characters that were shown. The main reason I was drawn to the show was because of the different character archetypes in the show,” said Hser Htoo (‘23).

The story of All of us are Dead is filled with action and many emotions; not every character makes it to safety as expected and seems to be the most reasonable thing if a zombie apocalypse actually happened.
